**EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: MARCH 19TH, 2020 -- COVID-19 ARLINGTON ANIMAL HOSPITAL CLIENT PROTOCOL**

  1. In order to protect the safety of our clients, our team, and our doctors, we request all clients showing signs of illness that could be associated with COVID-19 to remain at home and not bring their pet to Arlington Animal Hospital. If a client is sick and their pet needs medical attention, please have a healthy person bring the pet in.
  2. WE ARE ASKING PET OWNERS TO NOT ENTER THE BUILDING, IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN CDC RECOMMENDED CONTACT DISTANCES.
  3. When clients arrive for their appointment, they should pull up in front of our office, call us to alert our team they have arrived, and note what type of vehicle they are in. They are to remain in their vehicle and our staff will come to them to bring their pet in for their appointment. If a client is walking, there are benches right outside of the hospital where they can wait.
  4. We ask clients to remain on-site in their vehicle during their pet’s appointment so that they are immediately available should we have any questions and in order to return their pet as quickly as possible. We recommend street parking as cell phone reception may not be accessible from our parking garage.
  5. Once the pet has been fully evaluated, the doctor will contact the client – via phone – to go over their findings, recommendations and answer any questions they may have.
  6. Once all medications have been filled and the pet is ready to be discharged, a client service representative will call and collect payment by credit card.
  7. All medications dispensed in house and any paperwork will be brought out to the client with their pet.
  8. If a client needs to pick up a medication refill the same protocol applies.
